  1. I also love Cattleman's Gun. I read a lot of Western novels growing up (thank you Louis L'Amour) and watched a lot of John Wayne movies and this song is so good that I must have had it on repeat in my car for at least 2 weeks.

  3. Sarah Darling "Blue Guitar!" What a song. And what a list. This list looks as though it was actually compiled based on actually talent and integrity. What a welcome change! Thanks!

  4. I love Sarah Darling's album! I'm so glad she's on this countdown, and that someone else knows about this amazing talent besides me! If you haven't checked on her album "Every Monday Morning," it's definitely worth the listen.

  5. Great list! Although I think "Last Call" by Leeann Womack should have been #1.

Also, kudos on picking the Sarah Darling song! I thought I was alone in feeling that song was a stand out on the album. I guess with so many good songs it's hard to determine one as the "stand out" but Blue Guitar really does it for me.

  8. Love Jamey Johnson's "My Way to You", it is such an amazing song -- its hard to understand why radio let this one fail! Thanks for including Jamey's song! Also love seeing Wade Hayes making the list twice - his independently released album is just such a gift to his fans! Loved Eric Church's song, too - completely fitting of the times!

  12. Cattleman's Gun is an awesome song, so are most of the cuts off that album. Jamey Johnson should have been in the top 2 and I can't believe that none of the songs off of Jason Aldean's Wide Open made your list??
