Country Music Hall Of Famer Charlie Louvin Admitted To Hospital With Grim Prognosis

Grand Ole Opry historian Byron Fay went to his webpage earlier today to deliver some melancholy news about Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Louvin. From his webpage:
Here is some additional information about Charlie Louvin. The source of these additional comments is his son, Charlie Louvin, Jr, known as Sonny. He is reporting that his father is losing the fight with pancreatic cancer. He was admitted on Monday to a hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee for dehydration and a urinary tract infection. According to Sonny, "About three weeks ago, Charlie took a turn for the worse. He went back to his old ways, smoking more than ever." Again from Sonny, "It's over. He's already told me that he doesn't want to sing, work anymore. He said 'I'm tired, son and want to go home'. He's had a great run in life. I know a side of him that not too many know. His mind is in a lot of confusion, hallucinations, etc., but he knows me." Again, that is from Sonny Louvin. Really sad news.
