- The newest Country Music Hall of Famer, Don Williams, will be releasing an album of all new material in June. “I can announce that I have been in the studio recording a new album, which will be released in June of this year. This will be my first studio album for a number of years and has 10 brand-new, specially written songs. I am very happy with the recordings so far, and am excited to hear what the fans think of this new album.”

- Billy Strange, a longtime singer/songwriter and session guitarist and member of the Musicians Hall of Fame, passed away at the age of 81. In addition to producing Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Were Made for Walking,” he was a musician and singer on numerous TV shows early in his career, including 'The Sons of the Pioneers' and 'The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show.'
