Multi platinum-selling country icon Clint Black has signed a record deal with Nashville-based entertainment company Thirty Tigers that will clear the way for him to release his first album in nearly a decade. Black, who has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and charted nearly two dozen #1 singles including “Nothing But The Taillights, “Like The Rain” and “When I Said I Do,” hasn't officially released the name or release date, but Amazon has a pre-order ready for the album with a name of On Purpose and a release date of 9/18.
This new project will mark Black’s first studio album in seven years, none since 2008’s The Long Cool EP. “Thirty Tigers has an independent spirit,” said Clint Black. “They believe in allowing artists the creative freedom to create music we can all be passionate about. What’s more, I value and appreciate that their focus lies squarely where it belongs – on the music."
