Meghan Linsey Announces Bold Like A Lion For November Release

Artist: Meghan Linsey
Album: Bold Like A Lion
Label: Bold Music Group
Release date: November 3, 2017

Former CMT Can You Duet winner, member of the duo Steel Magnolia and The Voice Season 8 runner-up Meghan Linsey has announced that she's releasing a brand new record titled Bold Like A Lion in early November.
"I've really poured my heart and soul into writing songs the last couple years,” Meghan says. "I've been through and lost a lot and it's been really hard. Writing songs and creating has been therapy for me. I think it's obvious that the songs come from a real place and I hope that will resonate with people. For once, I have no boundaries,” Meghan continues, “and I can be as honest and expressive as I want and need to be.”
The project looks to be more pop-leaning that her previous efforts and will feature a couple guest stars in Fred Schneider (of the B-52's) and Grammy award-winning R&B artist Aloe Blacc.
"I cannot tell you the love and sweat and tears that went into creating this project. There were times Tyler Cain and I banged our heads against the wall for days, weeks, months trying to figure out what was missing or what we needed to take out to make each song exactly what it was meant to... be. I've never been so proud of a project. It was so hard sometimes, but we persisted and now it's finished and that is the best feeling in the world. The only better feeling, will be sharing it with you guys on November 3rd. Life is hard, but it's worth it and living your dreams is worth the hustle. Don't ever give up. Live Loud and be Bold Like A Lion."

Meghan Linsey Unveils Upcoming Believer Album

Artist: Meghan Linsey
Album: Believer
Label: Bold Music Group
Release date: 7/27

The Voice finalist and former member of the duo Steel Magnolia, Meghan Linsey, has released the details on her newest project, a decidedly more pop/soulful album called Believer.

"Recording this time around was really just about finding me voice as a solo artist, and for me, that meant getting back to my roots," Linsey told ETonline. "I grew up in New Orleans and I've always had a soulful sound, I'm just now really able to showcase it."

"I wanted to write about what I know and what I've been through," Linsey says of the collection. "I haven't always been confident. I'm still not always confident. I struggle with feeling balanced and good enough, all the time. I've been through some hard stuff and I've come out on the other side and I'm ok. I'm stronger than ever. I think people can relate to that. I want to be an inspiration to others."

The six-track EP will be released on Garth Brooks' GhostTunes starting Monday, July 27, and will be available on iTunes and all other digital retails on Friday, July 31.

Believer Track List
 1. Counterfeit

Meghan Linsey's New EP Available This Week

For the last couple of months or so, Meghan Linsey has been hard at work, hoping to raise enough support to make her new solo album a reality. While the former singer for Steel Magnolia has already been in the studio since parting ways with her former duet partner Joshua Scott Jones, Linsey has been looking to raise enough funds to make an EP. For this project, she launched a pledge campaign to raise funds and this past week, she reached her goal. As a result, she will release the EP this week.

When asked about what direction this project will be musically compared to Steel Magnolia, Meghan had this to say, “I don’t think it’s completely different. I think there was always an element of soul to everything that we did, you know? I was born and raised in New Orleans so I think I’ve kind of brought that flavor to it. With the new project I am able to kind of push on that a little more and really, really sing on this thing more; that’s been really fun.  The songs are just really honest. I’ve been writing a lot with everything I’ve had go on in the last few years. I think overall it’s just really soulful and genuine and honest.”

Steel Magnolia's Meghan Linsey Goes The PledgeMusic Route For New Solo Project

Steel Magnolia was the duo that won season two of the television talent show Can You Duet. The duo, consisting of Meghan Linsey and her fiance, Joshua Scott Jones, soon signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records, and released the top ten single "Keep On Lovin' You." Now word comes out that Linsey will be releasing her debut solo project and she's going to the fans through PledgeMusic to help get it funded.
"As you probably heard I am launching my solo career and I am sooooo excited about it. But I’m most excited that I am launching it with you guys and PledgeMusic. You guys have been so supportive of me throughout my career and with Steel Magnolia and I hope you will support me on this new journey and pledge. Your continued support means the world to me so I really hope you will join me on this journey. I need your help to finish my new music and get on the road to come see you!
You know how it works. By pledging you’ll get the download of my new EP and some great exclusive items. Plus, during the next few months I’ll be posting content exclusively for Pledgers from the studio, at shows, from all over the place. You’ll have exclusive access to behind the scenes videos and pictures of me completing this EP. I can’t wait to share this experience and music with you!"
Donations begin at $5 for a digital copy of the EP all the way to $5,000 for a private show in your backyard. Gifts for donors in between those amounts include Hatch Show Prints, t-shirts, meet and greets and more.
