Kid Rock To Release First Kiss on Feb. 24
Kid Rock posted the album art and track-listing for his upcoming 2/24/15 release, First Kiss. The album supposedly swing more to a more roots-oriented sound with The Band of Heathens as the band behind him on much of the album.
Ed Jurdi of the Austin-based “Band of Heathens” spoke about working with Kid Rock saying:
"Kid Rock was a fan of the band, and we ended up connecting with him last year. He’s invited us to play on his Kid Rock cruise the last couple of years and then asked us to open a few of his shows. We just generally had a good time hanging out and jamming on old tunes together. So then he gave us a call and asked us if we’d come up to his studio outside Detroit and do some recording. So the whole band went up there for a week and we made some music and generally had a great time, just hanging out as friends. He enjoyed our aesthetic and wanted to capture it for the songs he was working on."
First Kiss Track-listing:
First Kiss
Good Times, Cheap Wine
Johnny Cash
Ain't Enough Whiskey
Drinking Beer With Dad
Good Time Lookin' for Me
Best of Me
One More Song
Jesus and Bocephus
Explicit Bonus Track: 10. FOAD
Clean Bonus Track: 10. Say Goodbye

Shooter Jennings and Kid Rock Announce New Upcoming Album Projects
Sometimes country and sometimes Southern rockers Shooter Jennings and Kid Rock both announced new upcoming album projects this week.
Jennings revealed the release date for his follow-up to this year's album Family Man. The Other Life will be released February 26th, 2013 on Black Country Rock/Entertainment One Records. The album will be available in digital, CD & Vinyl formats everywhere records are sold. The date was pushed a month because of a very complicated visual entertainment undertaking Shooter & JuddFilms have taken on and to ensure the best experience when being introduced to the record.
Kid Rock's new album, Rebel Soul, will be dropping a little earlier, November 19, 2012 to be exact.
"I just want to get back and make a fun Kid Rock record. Whatever it feels like that day in the studio, write those songs, whether they're hip-hop or rock and roll or country, just have fun with it.'"
Kid Rock's first single from the new project is "Let's Ride (Mideast Battle Hymn)." It pays honor to the US troops, a group he often pays tribute to with USO support.
"I wanted it to be an anthem, something for the guys to get pumped up to when they've got to go out and do these horrendous jobs," he explains. "From being there so many times, I've heard the stuff they listen to when they're out there, blaring stuff from their Humvees, when they're driving around on these missions ... and I said, 'Man, let's try to make them a theme song, to get them pumped up.' We wanted to keep it very truthful, but heavy and hard, and hopefully it's something that will help them get psyched up when they have to do their job."

David Allan Coe Releases New Album, DAC's Back
Outlaw country singer, David Allan Coe, is releasing his first country studio-recorded album in almost a decade, DAC's Back, containing 17 never-before-released originals by Coe and three live recordings of songs co-written with Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker.
The album, which contains the new single, "Single Father," a Kid Rock co-write, was recorded primarily in Coe's tour bus studio while on tour over the last few years.
It is his first studio album release since his 2004 heavy metal Rebel Meets Rebel collaboration with the late "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, legendary rock guitarist and co-founder of the rock/metal band Pantera.
The project has been released digitally on Coe's own independent label, DAC Records/1617 Virtual, and is currently only available at CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com) but will soon be available soon through all major Internet retail outlets. The CD version should hit shelves within the next 60 days. A broadcast-quality version is now available to radio via AirPlay Direct(www.AirPlayDirect.com.
Coe, 72 , is still active, performing on the road recently with Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker, and Toby Keith. Possible tour dates with Willie Nelson are also in the works.
Deemed by some as the original outlaw, Coe came on the country music scene with his 1969 release, The Penitentiary Blues, having spent time in Ohio's state corrections system. His first real chart successes came with "You Never Even Called Me By My Name," which rose to the Top 5 in 1974 and is now considered a country standard by many. He later had another Top 5 in 1982 with "The Ride" and followed that up that next year with the No 1 hit "Mona Lisa's Lost Her Smile." His greatest success, however, is probably as a songwriter, having penned the country classic, "Take This Job And Shove It," a No 1 by Johnny Paycheck, and "Would You Lay With Me In A Field Of Stone," a chart-topper by Tanya Tucker.

Mary J. Blige Records Country-Influenced "Care" With Kid Rock
Mary J. Blige is known as a soulful R&B singer, but her most recently-heard song making the rounds is the country-tinged "Care," featuring Kid Rock and T.I. It was leaked online Thursday and you can listen to it HERE.
The song includes a guitar-laden production and earnest lyrics about wanting to change the world but only having the ability to care.
"I can't stop the war, shelter the homeless, feed the poor," Blige and Kid Rock sing together on the chorus, while T.I. ad-libs throughout the refrain. "I can't walk on water, can't save your sons and daughter/ I can't change the world or make things fair, but the least I can do is care."
"For the life of me, I can't see how the devil keeps enticing me," Tip raps on the number. "All you see is a felon, but I know God can see what's right in me."
MTV reports that it is unclear if the record will land on Blige's next project. A representative for the singer has not responded to inquiries.
