- Cam ("Burning Bed") released a new Christine and the Queens cover of “La Marcheuse” that's truly intriguing. You can watch it HERE.

- Former pop/AC artist Jude Cole has traded his producer keys (Clay Davidson/Kiefer Sutherland) for some new music that he's unveiled on Soundcloud including this cool little country number called "Border To Your Heart."

90's pop star turned producer Jude Cole (Kiefer Sutherland/Clay Davidson) released a powerful new song this week that was seriously worth sharing with our readers. The true-story song deals poetically and eloquently with the effects of dementia.  Per Jude's own words:

In the spring of '92 as I was putting some finishing touches on one of the tracks for 'Start The Car' at Cherokee Studios in Hollywood, the Rodney King riots broke out. Lori was in downtown LA right at the hot spot, shooting with a photographer for the album cover until late that afternoon.

By the evening things got really strange. The different rooms at Cherokee were booked with various artists of all races and color, and everyone was looking at each other with mistrust as we all watched the news in the lounge. Hostility filled the air, and I remember a fight almost broke out between two of the artists who were yelling obscenities at each other, posturing with puffed chests. Finally, someone changed the channel to MTV. The Michael Jackson video 'Black Or White' was playing.

It was a Twilight Zone episode, to say the least… a surreal time to be alive.

Concurrently that evening as I was driving home. the story of this song happened. It had nothing to do with the riots. Nothing to do with the city, the nation or politics. It was an equally touching part of my day, and I've never forgotten it.

Actor Kiefer Sutherland has announced the April 26 release of his next album, Reckless & Me. Not too many details are out on the new project, but you can assume that business party and co-owner of the Ironworks Music Label Jude Cole (Clay Davidson/Lifehouse) is bound to be involved in some of the co-writes and producing duties.

“I asked myself ‘What is the thing that I love about acting and music? What is the common denominator?’ And for me, it’s storytelling. And music is a very different way of doing it, but it’s still storytelling nonetheless. Life is tricky. It’s not easy, and we’re all going through it. If you can have that dialogue at a show, then that can really matter. Understanding that was a real turning point for me. I’m not playing a character. As soon as I allowed myself to be me, a connection started to happen,” Kiefer shared.

The Eli Young Band announced yesterday that their album This Is Eli Young Band (Greatest Hits) will be released on March 29 via The Valory Music Co.. The band announced the new tunes and preorder details via Facebook Live yesterday (Feb. 28) while in New York City for a tour stop honoring their home state of Texas.

“This is the first time you’ve ever been able to get some of that older music, new music, and the hits all in one place,” shared EYB’s Mike Eli during the Facebook Live.

The Greatest Hits will feature Eli Young Band No. 1’s “Drunk Last Night,” “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” and “Crazy Girl” as well as new songs “Where Were You” and their current charting single, “Love Ain’t.”

Thomas Rhett will be releasing his next album on May 31- it's titled Center Point Road.

Jake Owen announced his next project as well - it will come out on April 26 and be titled Greetings From Jake Owen.

Greetings marks Owen’s first full-length album in nearly three years and his debut with Big Loud, which signed him in late 2017. Joey Moi, who recorded Owen’s hits “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “Alone With You,” is back is in the producer role.

No track listing has come out yet, but it would be assumed his last few strong-performing  singles will be included. His John Mellencamp-referencing 2018 track “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” returned the singer to the top of the charts for the first time since 2016, while its follow-up “Down to the Honky Tonk” is currently at Number 12 and rising. “Honky Tonk” was also recently nominated for an ACM Award for Single of the Year.

And good wishes go out to country legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jerry Lee Lewis who had a minor stroke at the age of 83.

"He is with his family, recuperating in Memphis and the doctors expect a full recovery," a family statement said. "The Killer looks forward to getting back into the studio soon to record a gospel record and on the road performing live for his fans. His family requests privacy at this time. Well wishes and prayers are greatly appreciated."

Jude Cole To Release First New Music After 17 Years With In Plain Sight

17 years after his last album Falling Home and after nearly 3 decades removed from a string of Billboard-charted hits, Jude Cole announced via Facebook that he will have a brand new EP out in roughly a month titled In Plain Sight.

"The cover is my son Ethan's 2nd CD.  He did Kiefer's 1st record as well.  Quite a talented guy and expressed my desires better than I could have dreamt.  I'll be showing some lyrics and snippets beforehand when the website is up... and because of (producer) Chris (Lord-Alge) mixes, this record is kind of an extension of VFTS (A View From 3rd Street) and STC (Start the Car)... really happy with it... it's been a long time!"

His time off from releasing his own music hasn't been without being heavily involved in music. He created Ironworks Music with partner Kiefer Sutherland, which began as a recording studio and eventually became a record label and music publishing company. Together they signed Canadian singer/songwriter Ron Sexsmith, punk rockers Billy Boy on Poison, blues-pop artist Rocco DeLuca & the Burden (Colorful) and folk rockers HoneyHoney, produced country artists Clay Davidson's project Unconditional, and most recently, Kiefer Sutherland’s Down In A Hole album (Ironworks/Warner Music Nashville). This is all in addition to being the manager, co-writer and producer for the smash success rock band, Lifehouse.
