Country Weekly Increases Frequency From 26 To 52 Times

American Media, Inc. announces that it is increasing the frequency of Country Weekly magazine, America’s best selling country music magazine, to 52 times per year.

“We’re going back to our roots” said Editor-in-Chief Larry Holden. “Country Weekly launched 15 years ago as a weekly and that’s what we’ll be again. We’ve done extensive research and this is something our readers want.”

Holden said that the change will become effective with the March 2 issue. Country Weekly’s cover price will also be reduced to $2.49 from $3.49 to enhance its appeal to the weekly purchaser and provide added value in a tough economy.

“We’ll continue to provide the latest news about country music’s biggest stars,” Holden added, “except now we’ll be doing it twice as often. There will be a lot of new features in the magazine as well.”
