Bobby Osborne and the Rocky Top Express are preparing for an end-of-the-month release called Bluegrass & Beyond—their third project for Rounder Records. Opry member, IBMA Hall-of-Famer and gold-plated legend Bobby Osborne and his band have covered a wide range of musical genres this time. The album carries on a key Osborne Brothers tradition, serving up a wide variety of songs—from The Eagles, Eddie Rabbitt and Bill Monroe (Osborne tackles “What Would You Give In Exchange For Your Soul” with help from Marty Stuart and Connie Smith) to Conway & Loretta and hotshot California songwriter Chris Stuart—and sending them heavenward with a voice that can still soar. The album comes out March 31, 2009.
