Jack Black Hits The Grand Ole Opry

“School of Rock” actor Jack Black made his debut on the venerable Grand Ole Opry over the weekend. Black joined his father-in-law, legendary jazz bassist Charlie Haden, along with Haden’s triplet daughters and son on the Ryman Auditorium stage.

The appearance took place in conjunction with Haden’s 2008 traditional country CD “Rambling Boy,” which featured his family and several other special guests, including Oklahoma native Vince Gill, Rosanne Cash, Elvis Costello, Bruce Hornsby, Ricky Skaggs & the Whites, Dan Tyminski, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan and Bryan Sutton.
