As often happens when old friends and collaborators are reunited, old memories weave their way into the present. While sitting behind the board at Loud Recording Studios (formerly Masterfonics Studio) on Nashville's Music Row, Stroud turned to Anderson and said, "John, this is just where we sat when we were working on "Seminole Wind"." A hush fell over the room of musicians and engineers as the importance of that collaboration resonated.
"James and I have been together as friends and partners a long time," Anderson states. "He and I have recorded quite a bit over the years, and he even played that signature drum track on my comeback single "Straight Tequila Night." I feel like we're giving this one our very best effort and so far it is feeling pretty true to what I do," he says of the new music.
Anderson and Stroud are currently putting the finishing touches on Bigger Hands, which is scheduled for release on June 9th. The release will be preceded by a single and video, "Cold Coffee & Hot Beer." Anderson is continuing his touring activity as the album nears completion and will launch a full-scale tour upon the release of the new album.
