New Eddie Rabbitt Album Of #1 Hits Arrives In May

A very long overdue album will be arriving next month with Eddie Rabbitt's Number One Hits will be released May 12 by Rhino Records. The compilation includes 17 singles that topped Billboard's country chart from 1976 through 1989, including the pop crossover hit, "I Love a Rainy Night." Other tracks include "Drivin' My Life Away," "Someone Could Lose a Heart Tonight," "Step by Step" and "On Second Thought." It also features his duet with Crystal Gayle, "You and I," and his collaboration with Juice Newton, "Both to Each Other (Friends & Lovers)." In addition to his hits as an artist, he wrote Elvis Presley's "Kentucky Rain." Rabbit has had best of albums released, but due to songs being owned by different labels, never on the same album. This is one that I’m looking forward to having in my collection. Rabbitt died of cancer in 1998 at age 56.

  1. Did this ever come out on CD? I see Amazon has the mp3's for this collection, but it looks like the CD itself was canceled.
