Johnny Cash Estate Sells His Image To The Highest Bidder

The Man in Black shilling Fords, iPods or Coca-Cola? It looks as if it just might happen.

A company called GreenLight has already secured the personality rights of Albert Einstein and the Wright Brothers. Now, the rights-representation company has recently signed deals with the Thomas Edison and Johnny Cash estates and is looking for possible marketing opportunities.

No deal is in the works involving Coke and Cash, but Greenlight Vice President David Reeder says that Coca-Cola was one of Cash’s favorite drinks. Reeder said what better paring than the black-label Coke Zero and the Man in Black — a beverage and a country baritone that both conjure images of American authenticity.
