For Kenny Chesney, “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” isn’t just a song, it’s a business challenge. Just because you like your clothes comfortable and little laid-back, doesn’t mean you can’t sell fashion.
The 41-year-old country singer is now the latest singer to dip his toes into the world of clothing. Chesney, who is rarely seen without a cowboy hat, has launched Blue Chair Bay, a line that represents his relaxed style. The articles, which range in price from $35 to $72, are meant to evoke “that favorite T-shirt that you’ve washed a lot that is kind of sun bleached… your favorite khakis, and your shirt that you’ve had forever.”
The collection, which was designed with both men and women in mind, can currently be found at Fast Buck Freddies in Key West, Ocean Eddie’s Resort Wear in Gulf Shores, AL, and Levy’s in Nashville.
“Blue Chair Bay is kind of like the place we’d all like to go if we had no obligations or nowhere to be,” he says, “and that’s kind of what I want this clothing line to represent. These are the clothes I would pack to go to this place.”
