"Every once in a great while an act comes out of nowhere and knocks you flat out. This moment for me happened at the NSAI Awards back in the fall,” says Scott Borchetta, President & CEO of Big Machine Records. “Edens Edge came out on stage practically unannounced to honor Barbara Mandrell and Hall of Fame songwriter Kye Fleming and destroyed the room. In that moment we had no idea who they were... By the end of the first song my VP of A&R was hot after it... Today I am extremely proud and excited that Edens Edge is part of the Big Machine!"
"We are so excited to be a part of the Big Machine Family,” says Dean Berner of Edens Edge. “We knew from the first time we met Scott (Borchetta) and the Big Machine team that this was the home for us.”
Comprised of Hannah Blaylock (lead vocalist), Dean Berner (harmony vocals, guitar, dobro) and Cherrill Green (harmony vocals, mandolin, banjo, and guitar), Edens Edge composes a unique musical blend deeply rooted in Country and Bluegrass.
Growing up about an hour from each other in Arkansas the members of Edens Edge never met until they were introduced through mutual friends in college. After entering the CMT/ NSAI Songwriters Contest in 2006, the band was discovered by Kye Fleming who helped further develop the group¹s writing and artistic talents.
In recent months the trio has opened for such Country stars as Ronnie Milsap and Randy Travis and will be opening for the likes of Lady Antebellum, LoneStar and Gloriana on the road this summer. Edens Edge is managed by Heather Moody, President of TVX Group Nashville. With the creative direction of Kye Fleming Publishing, the trio is currently writing and recording their Big Machine Records debut.
