"We Will Rise", written by Jaime Fox and Jami Groom (both of Rick Hall/Fame Music Publishing), is shared as an anthem to honor the people of Nashville. "We wanted to share this song in support of both Flood survivors and Volunteers," Fox stated, "And we hope that those who can, will donate towards Flood Relief efforts in return." The song "We Will Rise" can be downloaded for free at: http://www.mediafire.com/?yiyy0juymuh or by visiting the official website http://www.wewillrise.org/ where you can also view Artists' Interviews and The Making Of videos.

Donations on WeWillRise.org go to Cross Point Flood Relief Fund. Cross Point Church has four campuses in Middle Tennessee and has played an integral part in Flood relief efforts. The group of artists is reflective of Nashville's eclectic music community; ranging from country to punk rock, from soul to spoken word. Vocalists include: Jaime Fox, Damien Horne, Shelly Fairchild, Tyrone Carreker, Jackie Wilson, Whitney Layne, Shane Thomas, Sara Jane, Kendra Chantelle, Rick Caballo, Rachel Rodriguez, Brad Naylor. Joseph Wooten joined the group to record keys and Michael "Diallo" McLendon added a spoken word piece.

Studio 515 in Berry Hill donated its studio for the group to record. "We knew so many affected by the floods," said studio owner Jimi Whitelaw, "when we heard this song, we were honored to have the group record at our studio." Fox hopes to unite Nashville's independent artists again in the future to continue fostering hope to those in need. "Almost everyone in Nashville is either a singer or songwriter on the side of their day job," noted Horne, "We wanted to put together a group of independent artists that reflected our city." Added Wilson, "There are so many talented artists in Nashville that don't have the platform of a national recording contract." But, as Rodriguez chimed, "we [as independent artists] can still lend a helping voice."
