Deford Bailey was one of the charter members of the Grand Ole Opry and although he recorded a few songs in 1928, he was mostly heard only in person, He was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Deford influenced hamonica players like fellow Hall of Famer Charlie McCoy.
