Up & Coming New Nashville- Daisy Mallory

Seventeen-year-old singer/songwriter Daisy Mallory has released her debut single, “Do You Think of Me?” to Country radio this last month.

Mallory wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on her current EP, Girl Time, including the “Do You Think of Me?” single, produced by veteran writer/producer Jeff Dayton (George Strait, Glen Campbell, Buck Owens). In June, the Arizona native and recent Nashville transplant signed her first record deal with new, Nashville-based independent label, FrontWater Records.

“We are very excited about the release of Daisy's first single, ‘Do You Think of Me?’ which showcases her impressive songwriting and vocal talents,” says FrontWater Records President Robert Dale. “The song asks a question that many have asked at some point – ‘When you think of love, do you think of me?’ We feel strongly that this sentiment will connect with a lot of young female listeners at Country radio.”

Mallory has generated significant buzz within the Nashville music industry and at Country radio in the past year. The video for “Do You Think of Me?” has been serviced to all national Country music video outlets and has already received early placement on CMT.com, GACTV.com and Yahoo.com.

“Daisy Mallory is a rare combination of beautiful voice, performance talent and songwriting ability. She writes songs about right where she is, so she conveys a refreshing authenticity and a delightful, simple energy that draws you into the story her songs tell,” says Erich Sielaff, host of KKNT’s Music Café Radio Show in Phoenix, Ariz.

Adds KRDE’s Sean Cram, “No matter the subject, Daisy displays that she's got a solid grasp on the topic she's singing and writing about. ‘Do You Think Of Me?’ is another fine example of her ability to showcase that she has what it takes to be a superstar.”

The young singer-songwriter has been invited to perform at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café numerous times (and returns September 26), and appeared in March 2010 alongside Reba McEntire, David Foster and Kris Kristofferson at Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night benefit in Phoenix, Ariz. On July 24, Mallory performed a private show for VIPs attending the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s “So the World May Hear” awards gala this past weekend in St. Paul, Minn.
