Dolly Parton has announced plans for a new album and tour in 2011, according to her official website.
The new album, which has not yet been titled, will offer all new compositions and will be released on her own label, Dolly Records. In addition, Parton will tour the U.S. in the summer, followed by a European tour in late summer and an Australian tour in the fall. In related news, Parton's theme park, Dollywood, was recognized with the Liseberg Applause Award, the amusement park industry's top award, on Tuesday (Nov. 16). Parton personally accepted the award at the ceremony in Orlando, Fla. Dollywood is located in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and is celebrating its 25th season in 2010.
