Golf and Guitars IV Ends Up A Wet And Wild Success

Just like the old mailman creed, come rain, come snow, come hail or sleet... Golf & Guitars IV went off without any major hitches under last-minute circus tents and was another giant success story for Sacramento.

16 major-label country music artists and groups attended the event and the sell-out 5 hour plus concert was amazing. Singer/songwriters across the stage included:

Jack Ingram
Clay Walker
Ty Herndon
Jimmy Wayne
Deana Carter
Bryan White
Julie Roberts
John Berry
Love & Theft
Chuck Wicks
Ira Dean
Jason Michael Carroll
Restless Heart's Larry Stewart
Steel Magnolia
The Dirt Drifters

Country superstars like Jack Ingram, Clay Walker, Chuck Wicks, Bryan White and Jimmy Wayne may be busy with national tours and more, but they're never too busy to help those in need. These country stars were counted on to bend their schedule to lend a hand. As such, The Golf & Guitars Celebrity-Am Tournament and Children's Charity Concert- hosted by Jack Ingram- was held for Tuesday, May 17th at the legendary Alister MacKenzie Golf Course at Haggin Oaks in Sacramento. It was held in conjunction with KNCI 105.1 FM Hot Country. This year's event includes a celebrity golf tournament, silent auction and concert.

The event kicked off that morning as tournament participants enjoyed a rainy and drizzly tournament round with a major label country music act or sports celebrity. The evening continued with the chance to bid on an astounding array of celebrity items and one-of-a-kind event packages. Topping the evening was a performance by all of the artists - nearly five hours of music.

100% of the net funds are donated between two children's-oriented non-profit charities. The mission of the Morton Golf Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity, is to provide golf programs that provide exercise in a healthy outdoor environment, to create a recreational environment that builds lasting personal development and that seamlessly introduces life’s core values of the great game of golf to the youth, disabled and underserved communities in the Sacramento region. The Keaton Raphael Memorial, is also a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports children with cancer and their families by providing emotional, educational and financial support, while increasing awareness and funding research toward a cure. Over $150,000 has now been raised in Golf & Guitars events.

Here is some audio clips from some of the artists at this year's events.
