Up & Coming New Nashville- Kylie Hinze

Country music recording artist Kylie Hinze (pronounced hen-zee) is 14 years old and a singer/songwriter that has been writing songs since she was eight.

Says Hinze's mother, "We always knew that Kylie had a God-given gift for music as she grew up always smiling and singing around the house and church. God and her faith inspire most of Kylie’s songs even if it’s just in a small way. Her family and her faith are key to her life, and writing songs rooted with God’s influence is very important to Kylie. She used to sneak out of bed at night to sit in her Dad’s lap to watch CMT videos. She loves country music and has been to more concerts than most adults – Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Jamie O’Neal and Carolyn Dawn Johnson for her 5th birthday started it off. Then she went to see Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Julie Roberts just to name a few country artists and she also heard Colbie Caillat, Uncle Kracker, Bowling for Soup, Demi Lovato, Hillary Duff, and Justin Bieber to round off her love of music and concerts. She would leave a concert and say, “I want to give a fun concert like that one day!”"

Kylie recorded her first song at OMG Studios in Greenville, SC when she was nine for a PTA Reflections contest and it won 1st place at her school. Kylie continued to sing at school and a few talent shows and could not get enough music in her life all the while playing soccer on a premier-level travel team and staying involved in student government. She won her middle school talent show Beck Idol in 6th grade singing acapella her song Lost in My Future and in 7th grade singing and playing the piano with As The Wind Hums (lyrics and music by Kylie) and in 8th grade too for the 3rd year in a row – singing and playing the piano with The Clique (lyrics and music by Kylie). But she was hooked on the studio experience so for her twelfth birthday she asked to go back in the studio to record more of her original songs. This turned in to her first CD of 6 originals - "Lost In My Future" that was recorded with Tim White in Simpsonville, SC. This CD was completed in March 2010 of her 7th grade year and Kylie truly enjoyed the entire experience.

Kylie started performing around town and her songs were played on iheartradio.com and suddenly she had a small fan base growing. Plus she kept on writing songs and in September of 2010, Noel Golden called us after hearing some of Kylie’s music online from Edwin McCain’s manager (friend of a friend referral). After meeting with Noel and Kylie singing some of her new songs for him, we embarked on making another CD of 3 songs. This led to her first trip to Nashville to work with some great musicians for her songs and she even played at the Blue Bird CafĂ© on her 1st night in Nashville! 62 writers signed up that Monday night and they called out 42 names and Kylie was the 42nd songwriter – so she was the last performer of the evening! She loves performing live and in the studio and at home on her piano and cannot wait to see what her musical journey has in store for her next.

Kylie has her first music video of her new single Romeo SuperHero and has won two awards for that video. She has had many fun experiences to be so young and is very thankful and blessed for them all!
