On April 10th, Bonnie Raitt releases her first album in seven years called "Slipstream." From the album press release:
The nine-time Grammy winner effortlessly slides from the stirring heartbreak of "Not Cause I Wanted To" to the searing social commentary of "Marriage Made in Hollywood" to a reggae-tinged version of Gerry Rafferty's "Right Down the Line." Her remarkable slide guitar work - she's only one of two women on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 greatest guitarists - buoys such tracks as the swampy "Million Miles," "Down to You" and "Ain't Gonna Let You Go."Take a listen to this preview track called "Used To Rule the World":
Bonnie is funky and earthy and all things good
ReplyDeleteSo much depth and character to SLIPSTREAM, highlighting all the many sides of Bonnie Raitt, mark my words, this will be among the best cd's of 2012 at years end! Bonnie sings like she was 30 again and that slide guitar playing, she means business, this should be one hell of a year for her out on the road.
