Barry Gibb Of The Bee Gees Gives Heartfelt Performance At The Grand Ole Opry

Barry Gibb made his first Grand Ole Opry performance this past Friday night and That Nashville Sound has his video performances for you to watch for yourself. Gibb has long had ties to Nashville, having written for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton (Islands in the Stream) and working with the late Johnny Cash. He had purchased Cash’s home in Hendersonville, TN after his death only to see it burn down a year later during renovations.

"I have dreamed of performing on the hallowed stage of the Opry since I was 12 years old. So this is a dream come true for me,” Gibb was quoted. “There is no greater honor."

He and Ricky Skaggs covered “When the Roses Bloom Again,” “To Love Somebody” and “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” together.
