Emerson Drive To Roll Out New Album 10/30
Multi-award winning Canadian country group Emerson Drive is ready to Roll out their 5th studio album on 10/30- inspired by a love for the road and experiences they’ve shared while touring North America over the past decade.
Fusing a classic Emerson Drive sound with a new blend of rock and pop is the album’s smash lead single “She’s My Kind of Crazy,” co-written by band members Brad Mates and Danick Dupelle, with noted Nashville songwriter Bobby Pinson. “She’s My Kind of Crazy” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart and has been the highest selling Canadian Country song for the past 8 weeks since release. The single holds a Top 10 spot on radio and on CMT.
Featuring 11 brand new tracks, ‘Roll’ features songs written by lead vocalist Brad Mates, guitarist Danick Dupelle, as well as seasoned country music songwriters Jason McCoy and Tebey. Zeroing in on life on the road, Mates and Dupelle also teamed up with fellow label-mates Chris Thorsteinson and Dave Wasyliw of Doc Walker, to pen the title track “Let It Roll”. Seeing its debut on the 2012 CCMA Awards telecast in September, the track will be released as the second single from ‘Roll’, tentatively slated for October 23rd. This will mark the first ‘duet’ to be released to commercial radio by two Canadian country bands.
With four studio albums under their belt, this Grammy nominated band has received CMA, ACM, JUNO, and CCMA awards and/or nominations, topped the country music charts for the past decade and has toured with some of the biggest stars in country music including Shania Twain, Toby Keith, and Big &Rich. Since the launch of their self-titled debut album in 2002, Emerson Drive has rolled out over 15 Top 10 hits in Canada; “I Should Be Sleeping”, “Fall Into Me” which peaked in the Top 5 on the Billboard Charts, “Moments” which gave the band their first #1 hit in the U.S. and their most recent radio single “She’s My Kind of Crazy”. With an incredible list of career highlights, a full-length Greatest Hits album Decade of Drive released last year, and another upcoming tour, it is easy to understand how Emerson Drive has become one of Canada’s greatest country acts.
