Steve Wariner sent out a message to fans this week that he's in the final stages of mixing his latest album,
A Thousand Winds. The album will be released late in the spring. Here are the details straight from Wariner:
It seems it happens every time. One step forward, and two back. We are getting close..but as feverishly as I am working to complete the new album, it's been pushed back just a tiny bit. It may be out a few weeks later than first thought..but at the risk of sounding egotistical, I'll tell you it will be worth the wait..just a few technical snags.
The next couple of weeks we should come to the mixing process then mastering...and off to press. Oh yeah, there's that cover and artwork part of it too. That's why I've been hitting the gym and trying hard to stay away from those goodies! That's a hard thing to do on the road!
On my website, there is a sampler available now to preview five of the new songs including the title track, A THOUSAND WINDS. So far the response has been tremendous! Bearing in mind these are rough mixes, I would sure love to hear your opinions.
Hey, we had a blast in Texas and Oklahoma recently. Thank you all for coming out! You guys made it fun! The end of March we will be back on the road again. Check the website for upcoming announcements. As always, thank you guys...I appreciate you more than you know..now it's back to the studio!
