More than a decade after riding off into the sunset, Alabama will be returning with some new music later this year. Two brand new songs by the legendary band will be on the Alabama and Friends album along with several other major artists lending their voices on collaborations.
Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith will pay tribute to the band Alabama on the upcoming album Alabama & Friends, according to Billboard magazine. Rascal Flatts, the Eli Young Band and Trisha Yearwood will also provide tracks to the album tentatively set for release later this year by Show Dog-Universal Music. Although Alabama will not be featured on every track, the project will feature the band performing duets with several of the artists. The band recently reunited for its Back to the Bowery tour, its first full tour since 2004.
