Suzy Bogguss To Release Merle Haggard Tribute Album Lucky On 2/4

Suzy Bogguss announced that she will release a dedication to her own songwriting hero on February 4, 2014, when Lucky, a Merle Haggard tribute record, lands on shelves. It is a return to her roots for the long-time singer-songwriter as her very first album Somewhere Between was named after a Haggard song. As you can imagine, the album will be a full acoustic production.

“He really is the poet of the common man,” Suzy said. “Not every artist has music that is as universal as Merle’s. It’s pretty heavy-duty stuff, and I think that’s why to so many of us who sing and write songs, he’s such a king among us.”
