For those that haven't been watching "America's Got Talent" this summer/fall, former country artist-turned-classic vocalist Emily West has been working her way through the talent show and last night made the final six. The winner pulls in a cool million dollars and she very much could be the favorite. Here's her performance this week, a quick take on The Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin."
"Nights In White Satin" is such a familiar staple on classic rock radio (the Moody Blues recorded it in 1967, but it became a #2 US hit in the fall of 1972), that the task for anyone who does this song is to capture the mystical emotion the song contains. I think Emily did a superb job.
