Uncovered 1975 Live Concert Recording From Waylon Jennings To See Release As Album

Artist: Waylon Jennings
Album: Live 75
Label: Laser Media
Release date: October 5, 2018

Another posthumous historic live music performance from Waylon Jennings has surfaced and will be being released on a special CD early next month. The album was recorded off of the soundboard during a concert that Waylon Jennings performed in Sugarloaf, Maine on August 2nd, 1975.

It was recorded when Jennings’ raw, barnstorming outlaw sound was a fresh revelation to country and rock fans alike. Then there’s the way pedal steel guitarist Ralph Mooney and drummer Richie Albright framed the band’s rugged-but-right-on feel. Most importantly, there’s Waylon himself, feeding off the crowd’s energy as his guts-and-gusto delivery drives the whole thing home on hard-charging mission statements like “I’m a Ramblin’ Man” and “Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way?” It’s the sound of an outlaw unleashed.

Live 75 track listing:
1. "Honky Tonk Heroes"
2. "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way?"
3. "Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line"
4. "You Ask Me To"
5. "Ladies Love Outlaws"
6. "Waymore's Blues"
7. "Louisiana Woman"

    1. Could you give a little more detail on the location? Just personally curious, and can find nothing more than Sugarloaf Maine... live in New England and would love to make a road trip.

  2. I first found this album as a bootleg while deployed to the Middle East. I had the only working CD player in our trucks and I drove my guys nuts with this for almost 10 months. Waylon is the GOAT and this album is my favorite of all.
