The Texas music scene got a wild bit of news yesterday when Red Dirt country music veterans William Clark Green, Josh Abbott, Cleto Cordero (Flatland Cavalry), and John Baumann all announced together that they're forming a new band called The Panhandlers.
Each one of the Lubbock music scene stars all teased the collaboration set for 2020. Each one has collaborated with one another, even attending songwriter retreats together.
Said Abbott on Instagram, "Been working on this new project/album for a while! Pumped to get this out soon!!!"
Further intriguing this collaboration is that they are tagging Bruce Robison's Next Waltz in posts. Robison's created a fledgling video and music studio of sorts and it may be possible that he's involved there as such- and perhaps possibly even in a producing role.
In the meantime, social media pages have been created for The Panhandlers and you'll learn as we will as things progress along.
