  1. This was a wonderful part of a truly wonderful segment of the Kennedy Center Honors that paid tribute to Linda, who is actually suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, an affliction that mimics Parkinson's. Linda was actually there in the honorees' box, and was overwhelmed by the love thrown her way not only by Aaron (her duet partner on "Don't Know Much" in 1989) and Trisha (who considers Linda her spiritual role model), but also by testimonials from Don Henley, Emmylou Harris, and actor Kevin Kline; the all-female New York mariachi quartet Flor de Toloache honoring Linda's Mexican heritage; and Carrie Underwood serenading Linda with "Blue Bayou" and "When Will I Be Loved".
