This Christmas Eve morning, That Nashville Sound has something a little different for our readers. In this crazy year of 2020, most of us have been forced to see less of family and friends. Quarantining those at risk (including ourselves and our loved ones) has taken the place of social gatherings, backyard barbeques and vacation road trips to see extended family members.
I would surmise that many of my readers have been in the same boat as I this year. We have used music as a way to find some semblance of normalcy. It's been a consistent safe place to find solace filled with messages that could shapeshift to whatever mood we're in. Favorite songs are a place to put us at ease. Music's acted partly as a healer.
So when the opportunity arose to share and combine a piece of my family and the passion of music that brings you here, I thought today, of all days, was probably most appropriate. This video below isn't a country or Americana artist you'll know. It's my nephew and his name is Isaac Michaels. He plays multiple instruments, writes his own music and inspires his Uncle Ken more than he'll ever know. He's got a poet's soul, as you'll see and hear if you'll give up four minutes of your day to hear something stunning and beautiful that he created. Merry Christmas, ya'll.
