What is old is new again. Originally released in 2000, a three CD box set of music by the Highwaymen has been reissued. The Highwaymen were a country music supergroup that came together in 1985. But before they came together, the four members (Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristofferson) were already hugely successful and influential entertainers with recordings stretching back to the '50s. This triple disc set brings together solo recordings from all four members and includes classic studio and live performances of songs such as 'On The Road Again', 'I Walk The Line', 'White Lightning', 'Pancho & Lefty', 'Sunday Morning Coming Down' and many more.

I love all these guys, but Kris Kristofferson was always a favorite of mine. What a great songwriter, and I actually much prefer his "Sunday Morning Coming Down" to the version by Johnny Cash. I'll be getting the box set.
