After nearly a decade together, the country music trio consisting of Brian Henningsen, his son Aaron, and daughter Clara- known as The Henningsens- have decided to do one last show and step away to do solo projects and work. This follows a stint on Arista Records and separate EP and album releases.
In 2008 at church, Aaron met Wynonna Judd's husband and Highway 101 member Cactus Moser, who in turn shared The Henningsens' demo recordings with producer Paul Worley. The Henningsens co-wrote The Band Perry's singles "You Lie" and "All Your Life", as well as several album tracks for The Band Perry. Their collaborative efforts would later yield several album cuts on Pioneer, including the title track, "Night Gone Wasted", "I Saw a Light", "I'm a Keeper", "Back to Me Without You", and "End of Time". Other songs that The Henningsens wrote include "Love It Out Loud" for Wynonna Judd, "Alone" for Sara Evans, and "Six Gold Coins" by Highway 101. They then signed to Arista Nashville and began working with Worley on their debut album.
On December 17, 2012, the trio released their debut single (and album title track) "American Beautiful". A self-titled EP was released on May 28, 2013. They released an independent album called World on Fire in summer of 2016.
The group plans one last show on 9/30, and had this to say on their Facebook page:

To all of our beloved and devoted fans, especially those of you in Central Illinois, we will be playing our final show (for now anyways!) on September 30th at Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL for the Laker Homecoming!!!
It's bittersweet for us to announce a final show, but we'd love to see you 9/30 nonetheless! When life gives you music, you make it play it while you can. We always plan to collaborate as a family- especially in writing songs! The time has come for us to journey down our owns paths though. We have truly enjoyed the the past 8+ years playing shows around the country and getting to know y'all. We appreciate the support we've received throughout the years! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and we hope to see you at our show at Lake Land College on September 30th!!!
