Next Big Nashville Festival Releases Date & Sign-Up Forms

What began as a simple showcase for Nashville’s booming music scene in 2006 has quickly grown into a nationally recognized music festival and conference. NBN now serves as an annual destination for artists, innovators and business leaders in the creative community at large and continues to provide a deserving spotlight to the depth and diversity of the music and business “Made in Music City.”

NBN 2009 will feature over 200 performers ranging from unsigned singer songwriters to major label artists playing at over a dozen of Nashville’s most prestigious venues. Over 15,000 people attended the festival in 2008 and 2009 is expanding to include even more daytime events, parties, interactivity and exciting opportunities for the participating artists.

If you were interested in participating as an artist, here's some notes for you -

1. Submissions are only open until July 13. We know this is a relatively short time to submit, but be honest; you were going to wait until the last minute anyway (we have the data to prove it). Everyone will be informed about their submission status by August 13.

2. You have to fill out the entire Submission form in order to qualify. No ifs ands or we-don't-have-an-input-list's.

3. While NBN is obviously focused on shining a spotlight on artists from the area, our submission process is open to artists from anywhere (that means you Iceland!). A Nashville connection certainly helps, but our event is about a celebration of the creative center that is Music City, and much like the party our Austin friends throw every year in March, everyone is invited.
