Some of the best songs on Corb Lund's new album, Things That Can't Be Undone, capture the essence of the modern rancher. "S Lazy H" is a heartbreaking song about losing the family ranch, while "Weight of the Gun" takes an obvious metaphor to sublime corners of the acreage. The album closes with "Sunbeam," a tribute to Lund's young niece who tragically died recently. Lund was reluctant to include the tender tribute because it's so personal, but thankfully he was convinced otherwise. Lund is a cowboy who knows his way around a metaphor.
